Virtualbox has my vote. With vbox you can load up as many systems as you like. It has built in backup (snapshots). It's mostly point and click, easy to use. Just a bit of a learning curve at...

That's how I also hook up to the internet. At times I need to reboot my phone so the connection will show up. Have you tried that? And there are times when a reboot of ubuntu NetworkManager...
